Ride On, Beard!

PORT ORFORD, ALONG THE OREGON COAST – Braving the rain, cool temperatures and a head wind in the double digits, Rogue Brewmaster John “The Beard” Maier and his entourage will ride 72-miles today, the 5th day of the People’s Coast Arthritis Bike Classic.

The Beard is no stranger to the sometimes turbulent weather of the Oregon Coast, regularly riding his bike across the Yaquina Bay Bridge from his home in Newport, Oregon to his job at the Rogue Brewery in all seasons.

The Beard’s journey so far has been extensively covered by international media and on social networks. The following photos were obtained via Facebook.

The Beard is still accepting pledges for his ride, which raises money and awareness for the Arthritis Foundation. The Beard asks that anyone wishing to join him in this cause make a contribution through his personal donation page.
